The Character Map Mode displays a group of buttons representing each character in the Sinhala language clicking on a button types the character into the preview pane, while also displaying the equivalent Singlish letter in small box. We liked the fact that you can view the Sinhala characters in 14 different font styles, and that the text can be copied to the clipboard for use elsewhere. In the Singlish Mode tab, we simply typed English words into the Singlish Text Editor, and an adjacent pane labeled Wijesekara Sinhala Preview showed the corresponding Sinhala characters as we typed. What we can say, though, is that ZSriLanka Sinhala Language Pack has an intuitive interface that should pose no problems for most users.
We'll be the first to admit that we don't speak Sinhala, so we can't vouch for the program's accuracy. This easy-to-use program provides both real-time transliteration and a Sinhala character map feature. If you need a quick way to transliterate Singlish text into Sinhala, ZSriLanka Sindhala Language Pack is up to the task. 'Singlish' is a brand of English spoken in Sri Lanka that incorporates some words from Sinhala, the native Sri Lankan language, as well as other Asian languages.
